Flowers Blossom

You’d not meet an early sleep… just so we’d lament and weep
Flowers blossom from your wounds… and from your wounds lessons leap

* * *

I came to the mosque yearning… not just with my eyes heavy
My soul wants it charity… lessons it yearns to carry
Yes, my tears flow like before… but they aren’t in a hurry
For I know she lives on and… sits in Heaven its Lady

I’ve cried for so many years… time to make use of these tears
Before her father’s one faith… burns away and disappears

* * *

I heard woman were oppressed… and were equal half of men
Yet here was a young lady… that tore down a Caliph’s reign
I heard that veiled women… were submissive and hidden
Yet she rebelled a tyrant… demanding what was taken

Men and women aren’t the same… look at how great she became
And me, a man, worth nothing… unless I’m serving her name

* * *

There are lessons to be learnt… hearing of your defiance
The voice whose anger shook stars… prayed first for others’ joyance
You were not veiled by cloth… rather, veiled by patience
On Earth, the stars guide our routes… stars look to you for guidance

Come see a Muslim lady… her anger makes God angry
Heaven lies beneath their feet… our whole purpose basically

* * *

That man did not break your rib… instead you’d broken his throne
They came begging forgiveness… knowing they cannot atone
Every woman that is slapped… that is abused and alone
Has you wipe away their tears… whether or not they have known

If strikes his wife a husband… Fatima shall break their hand
On Judgement Day, if Shi’a… with that Caliph he will stand

* * *

Truly we’ve oppressed Zahra… keeping her within our walls
Yet she stands thanking her Lord… whenever a tyrant falls
Women are looking for her… all over the Earth are calls
But they have not found her yet… and truly this thought appalls

Take Fatima to women… and deep love they shall fall in
She’s leader of all women… both now, to come and have been

* * *

Peace of the Heavens and Earth… be on the Lady of Light
On the flowers that blossom… from cries that turn day to night
Your flag held by your daughters… steady, righteous and upright
Why are veils being banned?… because they’re a source of might

No veil threatens country’s heads… unless worn by Muslim heads
Because, when freedom is worn… all over Earth freedom spreads

* * *
She sits somewhere here today… to her I salute and bow
No doubt, when this mosque has closed… to feed someone poor she’d vow
Once she has fed someone poor… she’d find tyrants anyhow
This is simply who she is… oppression she can’t allow

This is the house of Ahmed… they don’t sleep this poor are fed
And where there is injustice… you’d find them right at its head

* * *

Now that I have found lessons… I find my eye is twitching
Tears are begging me to flow… her tale they’re remembering
They remember her rib broke… whilst Allah’s house was burning
Her child fell from her womb… with blood from her wound flowing

The Qu’ran’s Chapter Kawthar… left burnt, wounded with a scar
How many women lament… her unborn taken from her

* * *

The sons of Zahra are known… as men who would strike their chest
For her broken rib and for… Hussain’s chest by horses pressed
Our revolt is eternal… both internal and professed
It screams out when to our Lord… Mehdi’s return we request

All who in goodness relied… will stand beside Mehdi’s side
All those left hurt by this world… no more will they have to hide
