Alhamdulilah… subhanallah… Fatima
Through you Zahra… we come closer… to Allah
Allahu akbar for after every prayer
The name of Fatima we all remember

Allahu akbar for nothing is greater than He
Allahu akbar Who created the greatest of she
Allahu akbar who spoke ‘be’ and it would be
Who created in just one being all of his mercy
Allah needed the galaxies to rotate
So the tasbeeh of Fatima He’d create
The eight planets, the moons and sun all declare
The name of Fatima we all remember

Allahu akbar the Creator is nothing but great
Creating Zahra embraced stars He’d create
The same way we look up and marvel at stars at night
Peoples of other worlds marvel at Fatima’s light
Created light… she lived as light… light she left
As the angles… jinn, men and all… all attest
The light of Fatima flickers forever
The name of Fatima we all remember

Alhamdulilah and to Him is due all praise
How great must He be if Fatima toward Him prays
The stars rotate but they stand still when caught in her gaze
When she’d raise up her hands for prayer, the mountains would rise
In day and night… her tongue recites… praise of God
And to what end… not for Heaven… no reward
What Heaven would be able to contain her?
The name of Fatima we all remember

Subhanallah for which there is no direct translation
But perhaps the best one is Zahra in prostration
Much like pilgrims in tawaf, planets in rotation
Recite ‘subhanallah, Zahra is God’s creation’
Allah creates… light that prostrates… back to Him
Planets rotate… and gravitate… to her name
If this creation’s great – how great is Allah?
The name of Fatima we all remember

Glory be to He whose anger is one with her anger
And if her anger is such, her love is Allahs’s
How great is Allah for the honour He bestowed her
Even those that hate her recite Tasbeeh Al Zahra
Those she angered still reach Allah through Zahra
Hating Ali they still bow to the Ka’ba
To his birthplace they bow now and forever
