Live like Ali, die like Hussain
* * *
A message to each desire… love of Ali burns a fire
The worlds Ali’s love admire… it would extinguish hellfire
A blessing to his love attain
* * *
Hussain’s love, the crown on each head… every year his wounds we have read
For his love we’ve died and have bled… with his name revolutions led
Even greatest minds can’t explain
* * *
The world of love looks at Ali… he who loves him, loves him madly
He who hates him, hates insanely… and but hypocrites hate Ali
Through his love miracles obtain
* * *
Hussain’s love is a miracle… to some men unfathomable
To bear it not all are able… he who loves good is capable
He who loves good will love Hussain
* * *
Love of Ali breathes intellect… into a once dormant mind-set
Love of Ali makes man perfect… washes away every defect
How else does wisdom self-sustain
* * *
A tear for Hussain is a tear… that reflects who the heart holds dear
Justice cries but injustice fears… and we have cried year after year
Who wanders lost and who shall gain?
* * *
Only loves Ali the special… a blessing on every level
We don’t doubt nor are we doubtful… to Haider we are the faithful
We’re with him till cut is the vein
* * *
A lighthouse to the lost his shrine… a saint that transcends place and time
Love longs to with Hussain’s name rhyme… for love without him is a crime
Awaits his love Heaven’s domain
* * *
Like Ali I live by my Lord… I give all I gain and afford
I don’t bow my head when implored… unless the Lord’s pleasure’s assured
He taught me to myself restrain
* * *
Like Hussain I withstand tyrants… against injustice defiant
And through tragedy I’m patient… I’m shaped by every bereavement
Through his love honour I obtain
* * *
I live days with Ali’s honour… his name on my deeds an anchor
My glare and frown at all danger… speaks his courage and his grandeur
My days are but Ali’s campaign
* * *
O’ Lord give my death one passage… on the dust of Hussain’s message
At injustice glares my courage… and for justice I’d give my age
Hussain’s love how can I contain?
