Monsoor, he calls out… where are the Shia?
Today we’ve murdered… their leader Jafar
Throw them in prison… find his successor
They day they drew his shroud… Shia blood was allowed

What would be the darkest time in our history
Began with Jafar Al-Sadiq and his story
He built our school with golden teachings of glory
It challenged tyrants who for their rule would worry
Against oppressors… against all of them
His school, it glistened… a flag of freedom
Knowledge, it loved him… tyrants, they feared him
And after he stood proud… Shia blood was allowed

Al-Sadiq lived in a time where skies would darken
When our deaths became worship, not just oppression
A time where teachings of Mohammed were hidden
Where hiding our faith became half our religion
We live in danger… because we believe
Even we’re safe… Shia elsewhere grieve
There is no freedom… if death we receive
Before to swords we bowed… Shia blood was allowed
* * *
Waging a war against the sons of Mohammed
The Abbasids waded in Shia blood they shed
Our blood flowed rivers till every house on it tread
To the door of the house of Jafar it was led
They sought his murder… killed every lover
An army waged war… against a scholar
Proving forever… knowledge is power
His knowledge cries aloud… Shia blood was allowed

Monsoor was amongst the greatest of oppressors
And took pride in killing the greatest of scholars
Everything innocent left in this world withers
Mourns him both orphaned children and widowed mothers
Today they bury… the last of their hope
Their grief can level… any mountain’s slope
Knowledge, it laments… patience, it can’t cope
As witnesses, a crowd… Shia blood was allowed
* * *
After his death we saw the last glimmer of day
As Monsoor cries “no more Shia after today”
Indeed since that day our freedom was locked away
Till our only hope was to for a return pray
Since then, killing us… was permissible
To have rights to life… we’ve not been able
We pray for Mehdi… “your promise fulfil”
Till the vengeance he vowed… Shia blood was allowed
