Moses & Pharaoh

Without a Harun, Musa suffers… without a Harun
Await his return, his supporters… await his return
A Shepard threatens a whole Caliphate
And we all know how Pharaoh met his fate
Without a Harun, Musa suffers… without a Harun

How apt of a state for the son of Haider
Chained up and left without any supporters
His namesake on a mountain speaks to Allah
While Musa worships God as a prisoner
His namesake supported by a brother
While the seventh Hussain has no flagbearer

There is no Abbas guarding is back… there is no Abbas
No mountain towers as he looks back… no mountain towers
And yet his faith, like his Lord is great
And we all know how Pharaoh met his fate
Without a Harun, Musa suffers… without a Harun

A kingdom stands against a son of Ali
Palaces and thrones against one mighty
Fearful that this Musa may split the Red Sea
For a son of Haider it would be easy
The son of the sword that split Marhab’s body
Sons of Ali make cowards of tyranny

Not even prison could contain him… not even prison
What Red Sea? Oceans would be simpler… what Red Sea? Oceans
Harun believed he could burn out his light
And we all know how Pharaoh met his fate
Without a Harun, Musa suffers… without a Harun

One Musa’s Harun watches like a moon
While this Musa’s tyranny comes from Harun
Fatima’s blood flows in Al-Sadiq’s orphan
Al-Rashid hates all that is born from her womb
Tortured, Musa whispers, “victory is soon…”
As rises from Baghdad a glorious tomb

Where are the remnants of Al-Rashid… where are the remnants?
On him none lament or remember… on him none lament
Bitter, while Musa’s love has the sweetest taste
And we all know how Pharaoh met his fate
Without a Harun, Musa suffers… without a Harun

How sad a great name was given to Al-Rashid
Harun did evil not even Pharaoh did
The Abbasids looked up not to Muhammad
But to Abu Sufyan and the Ummayads
Pharaoh did not murder a Prophet of God
But Al-Rashid had God’s beloved poisoned

Decades of torture made him frail… decades of torture
He welcomed murder after jail… he welcomed murder
He knew he’d live on, as for death he would wait
And we all know how Pharaoh met his fate
Without a Harun, Musa suffers… without a Harun

He may not have Harun, yet he has his Shia
Defiant and proud with the name ‘Rafida’
Born under the hand of his father Jafar
Of tyranny and oppression proud rejectors
Such as is our place, since the day of Ghadir
Besides Haidera we know no Calipha

By those left fearful, love abandoned… by those left fearful
Of this betrayal, we’re reminders… of this betrayal
With Musa and Ali and the truth we stayed
And we all know how Pharaoh met his fate
Without a Harun, Musa suffers… without a Harun

Ali’s Shia are unlike Israel’s children
The beloved of God we did not abandon
They call the Shia and bring out a coffin
The chained up body of Musa lies within
We lament and wail and we grieve over him
Rejoicing later with his intercession

Bound for the Heavens are his lovers… bound for the heavens
His shrine it beckons hearts toward him… his shrine beckons
Their kingdoms fall while glorious is his gate
And we all know how Pharaoh met his fate
Without a Harun, Musa suffers… without a Harun
