They carry the coffin of Kathom
With their tears, carry it his children
He takes with him his tears and sorrow
And for Kathom rivers of tears flow

O’ Shia wail with tears in your eyes
The prince of God has met his demise
With this sight, tears of blood flow from skies
Patience loved him, so now patience cries
And here the body of Kathom lies
On him his children beg him to rise
The skies within darkness are shrouded
Institution of mourning founded
Left with us this Imam’s shadow
And for Kathom rivers of tears flow

Wail, with the rise of a red dawn
With his death in pieces are the hearts torn
Haider upon his sad child mourns
The yearning hearts for whom should they yearn?
With him Fatima’s heart in grief burns
Once again her house on fire burned
Muhammad’s voice cries out for justice
Kathom’s killer to hell is dismissed
Pray upon him the devil’s arrows
And for Kathom rivers of tears flow

His empty jail yearns for Al Kathom
Regrets grasping his soul the poison
Whilst grasping this soul death does welcome
Yearns for this Prince the dust of Heavens
And so pulled by two is Al Kathom
Heaven’s dust and cries of his orphans
Every soul wants him beside its place
Whilst his killer strikes upon his face
This the Imam of Shi’a and know
And for Kathom rivers of tears flow
* * *
Dust of the Earth calls for his body
An empty jail to a grave empty
When he lived he was a soul lonely
Now thousands his body they carry
Every eye weeps for this tragedy
Remain in oppression his family
And Ridha prays upon his father
Masooma’s eyes shed rivers of tears
His body lowered six feet below
And for Kathom rivers of tears flow

O’ sign of all worship and patience
Toward sweet death granted admittance
Sweet death much like your father Hussein
Like you stranger in a strange province
Death sits with you, on his neck the sword sits
By God hearts have not recovered since
The sword of Shimr was his poison
Your mourners were his daughters, children
Tears for you for him were the arrows
And for Kathom rivers of tears flow
